Day at Smithsonian and the capital building

Hi again from D.C. This morning we visited the capitol building, and got to go into the House Chambers and view the House and Senate wings of the capitol bldg. It was very cool.

We had lunch at Union Station, then went to a couple of the Smithsonian museums. This is a pic of Shawn in front of the Smithsonian Institution Building, which is also called "The Castle". We didn't actually go into that building, but we visited the American Museum of Natural History and the Portrait Gallery (several people had recommended the Portrait Gallery at the American Art Museum, and we were not disappointed!) My favorite exhibit at the Natural History museum was the Dinosaurs/Hall of Paleobiology.

It is 6:17 p.m. right now, and we are getting ready to go to dinner. I'll write more tomorrow or Sunday! Hope everyone at home is doing well.
